Discover the calm, clarity and beauty of the Vega Archipelago with our experienced local guides. Paddle through crystal-clear waters among 6,500 islands, skerries and white beaches – all part of this unique UNESCO World Heritage Site. With a guide leading the way, you’ll explore the coastline, spot sea birds and maybe even otters or sea eagles.

Safe paddling with experienced guides

Our tours are adapted to the weather and group level. Your guide ensures a safe and enjoyable trip with scenic stops along the way. Kayak, spray skirt and life vest are included in the price – or bring your own kayak if you prefer. A paddling licence (Våttkort) is not required, but participants must be able to swim and be responsible for their own safety.

Kvalholmen / Around Elsøya

A great introduction to sea kayaking – perfect for families and beginners. We paddle in calm waters near Base Camp Vega, stopping along the way for a campfire coffee break and packed lunch. Otter and sea eagle sightings are common!

Duration: ~3 hours
Price: NOK 800 per person

Full-Day Tour

A full day of paddling and adventure! On calm days, we head to the outer parts of the archipelago. On windier days, we explore more sheltered routes. The tour includes a scenic lunch break with food and drink provided.

Price: NOK 1,500 per person

Night Paddle

Paddle beneath the magical midnight sun. Watch the horizon glow as the sun dips just below it. Nights are often calmer and offer stunning photo opportunities.

Duration: 22:00–01:00 (~3 hours)
Price: NOK 1,100 per person

Want to summit Søla, fish and cook along the way, or explore remote beaches? We tailor kayak trips to your wishes – for individuals or groups.

Price: Based on duration and content (from NOK 3,000 to 6,000)

Practical information

Starting point: Base Camp Vega, Sundsvollveien 70
Included: Kayak, spray skirt and life vest
Requirements: Participants must be able to swim and be in good health to handle an unforeseen situation in the water.
Clothing: Shell jacket, fleece, wool base layers, hiking pants, socks (wool/neoprene), dry change of clothes, towel, swimwear (optional), sunglasses, and headwear.
Kayak cleaning: We’ll clean the kayak for you for an additional NOK 200.
